You can also use virtualization software to run Linux inside of Windows, an example would be Oracle VirtualBox which will let you run Virtual PCs and servers for free.

You can also use Linux without installing it by using virtualization. For example Oracle has a free software called Virtualbox that will let you run Linux inside of Windows.
