Google TV’s new home panel lets users control every compatible smart home device. This includes cameras, lights and thermostats. Users can also see who is at the front door while relaxing on the couch with the new doorbell notification feature. The users can even control their smart home devices by simply using their voice and Google Assistant.

Google has also introduced a new feature which lets users transform their TVs into works of art. Users can use Ambient screensaver which lets them generate AI designs. They can provide prompts until the users get the desired image. Additionally, users can opt for something more sentimental by asking Google Assistant to show their best Google Photos memories on Google TV.

Google TV Update: More features with the new update

The For You tab now has a sports page which presents all of the user’s sports media in one place. Users can get live and upcoming games or browse through highlights on YouTube. Users can also watch sports commentaries and get personalised recommendations to better suit their interests.

If users need more help with picking what to watch, the new Google TV update has it covered. With Gemini technology, users can access overviews of the trending and top-rated movies to be better informed about which movie to watch next. Google TV Freeplay is also getting a new channel guide enabling users to browse media by topic and genre. Google TV users also gain access to free channels including ION Plus, Heartland and The FBI Files.

iOS 17.6 has been released and Apple has urged its users to download the new software update regarding users’ security. Software updates for iPad 17.6 are also available for download.

This new iOS 17.6 and iPadOS 17.6 software update corrects certain issues that compromise and affect users’ security. The tech company fixed a whopping 35 security issues in the new update.

Apple has fixed several issues regarding the devices’ security such as the ImageIO, WebKit, Kernal, Keychain and more. One of the more notable fixes is the two issues in the Kernal. Both of these Kernal issues puts users’ devices at risk of hacking. However, hackers would need in-person access to the users’ devices. Furthermore, eight issues in WebKit have also been resolved.

Besides Apple, CISA (Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency) has also issued a warning to US citizens to update their devices. CISA alerts that the issues with the Kernal leave users’ devices vulnerable to hackers and other adversaries.

iOS 17.6 and iPad OS 17.6 Device Eligibility

The iOS 17.6 software update is available for Apple devices including the iPhone 11 series, iPhone 12 series, iPhone 13 series, iPhone 14 series and the iPhone 15 series. Other models include the iPhone XS, iPhone Xs Max, iPhone XR and the 2nd and 3rd generation of the iPhone SE.

Besides the iPhones, the new update also applies to some iPad models such as the iPad 3rd Gen, iPad mini 5th Gen, iPad Pro 11-inch 1st Gen and so on. Users can check for their iPhone or iPad update eligibility on Apple’s official page.
