The speaker is equipped with a strong 240 W audio system. It also features a propriety True-Lossless 1 MBPS+ codec to ensure brilliant sound quality. In addition, the speakers can seamlessly connect with the Bluetooth V5.3 and 30M Bluetooth Range. Aside from Bluetooth, users can also listen by using an AUX or a Lossless Booster Dongle. The Robovan is an autonomous and electric vehicle and it is estimated to be the size of a small bus. The vehicle’s capacity can seat twenty people at once,. Not only can it transport people, it can also transport goods at the same time. The overall design of the van has a futuristic retro feel to it. Tesla’s new van comes with silver sides as well as black linings and details. Parallel light strips also run towards the ground and the van’s doors can slide right from the middle. Since it’s an auto vehicle, there is no steering wheel in sight.

There are no details regarding the actual price of the van but seeing how the Cybertruck costs around $39,900, Tesla’s van is expected to cost higher than what the Cybertruck costs. Tesla has also not put out any details regarding when production will start and when the van will be released. Such details might take longer to come out.

The Robovan that was unveiled at the We, Robot event is only a prototype. The event also saw some other interesting sights, the Optimus robots being one of them. X’s ban in Brazil led sites like Bluesky and Tumblr to skyrocket in new users. Brazilians were looking for alternatives to X, formally known as Twitter. The Musk-owned site lost a huge chunk of its users since the platform was removed from Brazil. Despite the ban, there were talks about X returning to the country soon.

This whole legal battle started because Moraes filed a lawsuit against X. Brazil has strict laws on disinformation and Moraes demanded that X remove some of the accounts of some right-wingers. The company also agreed to pay the fines levied on them and appointed a legal Brazil representative, which they failed to do in the first place.

X is backtracking on its previous statements against Moraes and Brazil as a whole. When this whole fiasco first started, X and Musk called Moraes’s demands and threats of the ban unconstitutional. Instead, accounts that have been blocked will no longer be able to interact with the account that blocked them. However, the blocked accounts will still be able to view the accounts’ posts and replies.

Before X’s block was modified, X prevented blocked accounts from viewing the account profile that blocked them in the first place. It also prevented the blocked users from viewing the account’s media, following and followers list and replies. However, Elon Musk was adamant about his stand on the X button. He has openly expressed his dislike towards the feature saying that it made no sense. Musk opted for a stronger kind of ‘mute’ function instead of an all-out block function.

X’s Block and the reception of this decision

The decision to revamp X’s block function has been met with backlash from the online community. There are plenty of reasons as to why someone would block a person on social media. Many people use the block button for personal safety purposes. Some people simply block accounts if they do not want to see someone’s content popping up on their timeline. However, the consensus is that the block button helped in reducing the amount of interaction and harassment from bad actors online.

It has been reported that X is bringing this new change for a reason. Blocked accounts can see posts of the person who blocked them by simply logging out or using a different account. So X has used this reasoning to justify modifying X’s block.

However, due to the high traffic in the app, the site will be facing a few issues in terms of performance. Outages are also to be expected as stated by a developer by Bluesky. 

Brazil X Ban and the reasons behind the ban 

Earlier this month, Elon Musk announced that X would cease operations in Brazil. However, due to X’s failure to follow Brazil’s Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes’ order to name an X legal and official representative in Brazil, the platform has faced a complete ban. 

The Brazil X ban comes after X failed to adhere to Brazil’s rules against spreading political disinformation. The legal battle between X and Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes started because the platform decided against blocking accounts spreading election disinformation. 

Users have been warned against using a VPN to access X. Brazil will be fining anyone found using a VPN to use X. Fines up to 50,000 reais or  $9,000 per day will be levied on those found guilty of using X after its ban. Other workarounds for using the app have also been discouraged.

X has stated that Alexandre de Moraes, Brazil’s Supreme Court Justice threatened the company’s Brazillian legal representative if X did not follow his demands. Moraes demanded the site remove certain accounts and content to fight against ‘digital militias’. He accused the group responsible for the spread of misinformation, fake news and offensive remarks towards Jair Bolsonaro, Brazil’s former President.

Operations in Brazil: Current State of X

Moraes opened a criminal investigation against Elon Musk. This was done after Musk declared that he would reinstate the accounts on X specifically blocked by the Justice. However, the platform went back on this statement and said that the accounts would remain blocked.

Musk has called Moraes’ actions as unconstitutional and called the Justice an “utter disgrace to justice”. Bolsonaro’s supporters have also come to criticise Moraes and called for his resignation. The former President of Brazil lost the 2022 elections and the country’s SEC blocked Bolsonaro from entering office for 8 years. It was alleged that he wanted to subvert the election results with his fraud claims.

Therefore, X has ceased all operations from the country to protect its employees. X’s staff in Brazil has lost all control over the type of content posted on the platform. It should be noted that even though the company has ceased its operations, the platform can still be used.
