Leaked details surrounding the upcoming Google Pixel 10 and Pixel 11 have been revealed, including the camera specs.

The Google Pixel 10, which is slated for a 2025 release, will be powered by the Tensor G5 SoC. This will allow ‘Post-capture Generative AI-Based Intuitive Video Editing of the Photos App’. This feature may even extend to YouTube Shorts.

Additionally, a new AI-powered feature called Speak-to-Tweak may be arriving in the new Pixel 10 for photo editing. Google has also been working on the Sketch-to-Image feature. This feature has been compared to the Samsung Galaxy AI. Furthermore, the Magic Mirror feature may also be making its debut, but there is no information out yet regarding what the feature does. The Tensor G5 may be able to locally support Stabe Diffusion models which may be used for the Pixel Studio app.

Google Pixel 10 and Pixel 11: Leaked Details of the Pixel 11

The upcoming Google Pixel 11 Pro, which is expected to hit the stores in 2026, will feature a “next-gen” telephoto camera. This camera will utilise the hardware in combination with the Pixel’s AI features for that impressive 100x zoom. This 100x zoom will be applicable for both videos and cameras. The Pixel 11’s Cinematic Blur will also be receiving a new update with 4K 30 FPS, along with a ‘Video Relight’ that switches between lighting conditions when taking videos indoors. The Cinematic Rendering Engine found in the Tensor G6’s processor decreases the power draw by blur recording by 40%.

The Pixel 11 will also feature the Ultra Low Light which has also been referred to as Night Sight. Although the Night Sight is an already existing feature, the processing is reliant on the cloud. However, with the Pixel 11, it will work on the device itself.

Google has announced the end of the Fitbit smartwatches, a move that was predicted ever since its gradual decline over the past few years.

The annual Made by Google event recently saw the release of the new Google Pixel Watch 3 smartwatch. The new Pixel watch release featured tons of the Fitbit’s best attributes including the smartwatch’s Daily Readiness Score. However, with the Pixel Watch 3’s launch came the confirmation that Google would not produce any new models of the Fitbit Sense; thus marking the end of the Fitbit line.

Fitbit Smartwatches: The Eventual Decline

The first ever Fitbit tracker came out as early as 2009 and the smartwatches were beloved by many. However, ever since Google’s full acquisition in 2021, Fitbit’s smartwatches have been put on the back burner by the parent company. The first-ever Pixel Watch was launched in 2022 and since then, Fitbit has released several smartwatches.

Certain decisions made by Google have also impacted Fitbit’s longevity. For instance, Google paywalled some features behind a subscription plan, especially access to the users’ full health data. This decision received fair criticism from Fitbit’s user base. Google has even stopped the leaderboard feature which allowed users to view step counts of their family and friends. As expected, this did not sit well with fans of the Fitbit smartwatches.

Google has not made any statements regarding how long support for the Fitbit models will last. The tech giant, however, is expected to integrate the Fitbit’s features into its own Pixel Watch series.

Fitbit was co-founded by Eric Friedman and James Park in 2007. The company focuses on producing wearable activity trackers and smartwatches. Since 2010, Fitbit has sold more than 136 million devices globally. In its glory days, the Fitbit smartwatch competed with companies like Xiaomi, Apple and Huawei.

Google Pixel 9 series is slated to be released on 13 August 2024 at the ‘Made by Google’ Event AI features will be included in the upcoming smartphone launch.

Google is expected to release more than two smartphones from the Pixel 9 series. Besides the standard variants, the company will likely introduce the Pixel Pro Fold which is a foldable style smartphone. The Pixel Pro XL, a smartphone in the Pixel 9 series with a considerably large size will also be launched at the event. It has also been rumoured that a new oink colour variant of the Pixel 9 will be available in the coming month.

Google Pixel 9 and AI Features

Google’s flagship phones will include Google AI features. The most notable AI feature to come is Gemini AI, which is Google’s own AI assistant. The AI chatbot provides users with assistance in crafting messages, summarising texts, generating images and more. Circle to Search is another feature that will be included in the Pixel 9 Series. This feature allows users to search without switching apps. Instead, users can simply hold the navigation bar or the home button.

Gemini AI and Circle to Search are features that are already available on some select devices, but there are also new AI features to come with the Pixel 9 series.

The Add Me feature will allow users to change expressions of people and even merge pictures with different people. This feature is a step up from the Best Take feature.

Another new feature is the Studio feature which is expected to be an image generator, but there are no details about this new feature. Lastly, Pixel Screenshots is an AI feature that allows users to store information that users have screenshotted.
