As Plex introduces this new feature, it allows the platform to compete with other huge review apps such as Letterboxd. Users can rate and write in their reviews of their recently watched movies and TV shows. After writing their review and rating the media watched, the users are given the option of sharing the reviews with their friends or friends of their friends. However, Plex has stated that it is working towards an update that enables users to share their movie and TV show reviews with virtually anyone on the platform. Individuals interested in testing the beta version of this feature can refer to Plex’s official website.

Users will be required to verify their email address in order to use this feature. After that, the user can review their chosen media through the Persona Media library. Users will then have to turn on the Sync Watch State & Ratings option. It should be noted that users will have to follow the platform’s community guidelines to publish their reviews.

Plex Movie and TV Show Reviews

When using the new Plex Movie and TV Show Reviews feature, users can also choose what kind of reviews they want to view on the media detail page. They can turn on this feature by going to Ratings and Reviews available in the Account Settings. The users will then be allowed to choose what kind of Plex user reviews they want to see. For instance, a user can decide to see reviews only from other users or movie critics only.

The Movie and TV Show reviews have now joined the Discover Together feature as it pushes Plex into more of a social network platform. Discover Together allowed users to share what they were watching with their friends. Their friends could also view the user’s bookmarks and ratings.
