SEO is confusing. There are a lot of terms, strategies, and best practices that can be overwhelming for beginners and even experienced digital marketers.

You want to improve your organic search rankings but you don’t know where to start!

This off-page SEO checklist will help you optimize your website for better rankings on Google and other major search engines.

We’ve compiled the best off-page optimization strategies into one helpful guide that you can easily reference whenever you need it.

14-Step Off-Page SEO Checklist

1. Evaluate your backlink profile

The first step to improving organic search rankings on Google or other engines like Bing and Yahoo is through an evaluation of the links that are pointing toward your site from outside sources.

There is lots of information regarding link building out there, so I won’t spend much more time talking about it here.

It’s important to note that Google is getting smarter each day in identifying and penalizing website owners who attempt to manipulate their search rankings through artificial links, or even worse, black-hat SEO techniques (for example purchasing links) that could potentially bring down your search rankings.

So evaluating your backlink profile is vital to your efforts.

Before you start off-page SEO, first assess your backlink profile with one of these tools:

Google Search Console

Moz Link Explorer

Ahrefs Backlink Checker

Screaming Frog

Once you’re finished checking your backlinks, it’s time to move on to the next step in this off-page SEO checklist, which is checking your competitor’s backlink profiles.

2. Analyzing your competitors’ backlink profiles

Next, find the websites that are ranking for your most important keywords and run them through one of the backlink-checking tools mentioned above.

This way you’ll know what sorts of links they have pointed toward their site, whether they’re natural or artificial, and what anchor text is being used.

Keep an eye out for any patterns emerging in your competitor’s backlink profile, as this could be valuable information for your own Off-Page SEO strategy.

Also, see if they’re getting any links from pages containing words that are important to your site and do the same thing with those sites.

Simplifying the building process through an infographic

Try to get your linking partners to add appropriate text where you will be able to use it for link building.

Visit each one of your competitor’s sites and find their contacts (usually named contact or similar) on social networks, email, phone numbers, and addresses.

Send them a message asking them to add some little text about you on the website and describe why it is important for them to do so.

3. Create a powerful internal linking structure within your website

People always think of search engine optimization as a game, so here’s how you win: by linking to your homepage from all the other pages on your site.

This is what we call an “internal link,” and it’ll really give those robots at Google pause when they crawl through every inch of that website looking for strong content.

Make sure there are links in each section or subsection (or blog post) back to the main page; this will make everything easier if anyone tries using sitemaps with crawlers because then just follow where people have already been before them!

4. Crawl your own site

Crawling your own website is recommended so that you are aware of any broken links, 404 error pages, and missing titles or meta-descriptions.

Maybe the spiders have found some completely different data on the page than you expected (e.g., the page was loaded with errors), which would be beneficial information that you can use to fix it.

5. Consider loading your pages with keywords, but don’t overdo it!

Engaging in keyword-stuffing is one of the most frequent mistakes made by people who are just starting out in SEO.

There is no point stuffing the meta-titles, meta-descriptions, and the actual content of your blurbs with keywords.

You should make sure long-tail keywords are mentioned here and there in the context of the text, but you don’t need to overdo it because all that’s going to do is damage your site.

And yes, Google can tell when people are stuffing keywords in their content.

6. Utilize different types of images on your website and blog posts

Basically, there are two types of images that you should consider: informational and aesthetic images; this is what we’ll be talking about now.

Here’s a hint: try loading your article with images that explain the topic in a visually appealing way.

For example, if you’re writing a blog post about “The Color Green,” make sure there are images of green items scattered throughout the article (green leaves, green clothing).

It won’t be hard to find these types of pictures and they’ll help draw in readers who aren’t too keen on reading lots of text.

7. Assess your link-building options

With off-page SEO, time and experience are two of the most important factors.

With that in mind, one thing you might want to do is assess what type of links would best suit your needs based on these types:

Broken Links – If someone has their site linking back to yours but they changed or deleted it because something went wrong with either page’s design then this can be fixed by contacting them for a new hyperlink connection.

Guest Post Outreach – You may have had success marketing other companies before so now it’s time to leverage those skills for yourself.

Local Citations – While not as popular today (due to outraised effectiveness), these citations come from businesses near where you operate such as mapping and events directories.

Social Signals – Although these may not help you increase search engine rankings, they will improve your site’s traffic and user experience.

Negative SEO attacks – These are usually spammy links that you don’t want to have associated with your brand name;

Sponsored Links – Paid links can also help you boost your site’s search engine ranking. Just make sure you’re purchasing from a reliable full-service digital marketing company that isn’t going to destroy your website by loading it with spammy content.

8. Steal your competition’s links with broken link-building

Broken link building is one of the quickest ways to build your backlink profile.

You can find broken links on domains you want to earn a link from or check out competitors’ profiles for more ideas (Xenu, Ahrefs and Check My Links are some tools that help with this).

Find a page on your website that would work as an alternative replacement for any broken external links then send an email about it over!

It is a surefire way to get links anyway.

9. Share your knowledge and content

Sharing valuable, unique, and relevant LinkedIn articles has become a great way to create visibility.

Don’t be afraid to share your own stuff as well – you can gain valuable backlinks by sharing quality blog posts from around the web through LinkedIn Pulse.

Another great way to get influencers involved is with LinkedIn ad campaigns; publishing sponsored updates that link back to your website or directly pitching someone via InMail (a paid service) will help drive more awareness.

10. The power of peer-to-peer publicity

Another one for all you marketers out there! It might seem like an old trick, but word of mouth still works wonders when it comes to getting links and shares across social media.

Remember that old saying, “Birds of a feather flock together?” Well, this is just as true with links. If you have an influencer talking about your project on their blog, it may influence other influential bloggers to share content related to your campaign or even engage them in a back-and-forth conversation over email to get the ball rolling.

11. The power of humanizing your link

It’s not about always thinking about sales. Every successful online campaign (and offline campaign, for that matter) should be able to make the people involved feel like they are part of something bigger than themselves.

12. Planning your link-building outreach

Typically, the best time to send out a mass email for link building is on Monday morning.

However, if you are planning on pitching an influential blog post you’ve written about them or their website, it may be more beneficial to send that email later in the week, so they actually have time to digest and respond back.

13. Putting yourself into your emails

Did you know that people can tell when someone doesn’t actually write their own emails? I don’t mean just putting “Dear John Doe” as the salutation.

When crafting your outreach email, try always conjuring up some sort of memory or connection with each influencer before sending them an email.

This could include having met them at an event, having seen them speak at a conference, or even mentioning something you read in one of their online publications. The more personal you make the email, the better.

14. Putting “no response” emails on ice

I cannot stress enough how important it is to stay organized with your email outreach efforts. And by an organization, I mean sending reminders to influencers and knowing when it might be appropriate to send another follow-up email (and then actually doing it!).

If you haven’t received a response from someone after two weeks of following up via email and social media mentions without any luck, write down their name and keep track of their contact information. Then add these people to your CRM (customer relationship management) tool under the “icebox” category.

Six months to 1 year later, check your icebox list and see which emails might be worth another shot. Use the tools outlined in this blog post to re-connect with influencers to whom you originally sent an email (or social media mention) 6 to 12 months ago but never heard back from them.

You’d be surprised at how many people will respond when they get a reminder email after quite some time!

Final Words

The off-page SEO checklist is a simple list of things you can do to improve your organic search and get more visitors.

These are some tasks that might sound intimidating, but they don’t have to be if you partner with an expert who knows how all these principles work together.

Well, that’s it for now. I hope you enjoy the article and find value in reading it!

What is Organic Traffic?

Organic traffic is the traffic that we directly get from search engines. When we search for search engines the results we get on the SERPs are considered organic traffic. Let me explain to you with the help of an example. When we search on Google for something like “Jeans” and results that we get on the Google SERPs are best known as the organic search, and the site that gets a click from that organic search can be best known as the organic traffic for that website.

Why is Organic Traffic the best source of traffic to your Blog or Website?

If someone says that getting Organic traffic to your website is the easiest task, then don’t trust that person because it is one of the difficult tasks. And that person is no doubt lying to you. I know there was a time when getting organic traffic was easy because of the less competition. But now the times have changed and getting organic search for your blog or website is somehow a lot more difficult. But I must say to you that organic traffic is one of the best sources of traffic for your blog or website. I will give you the reasons why it is so:

Your website has a good Reputation:

When people find your website’s posts or pages through search engines, they will think that you are good at doing Search engine optimization and have also done a lot of hard work. This creates a good image of your website in their mind and return, they want to subscribe to you or want links to your site because your keywords are appearing in the Google SERPs.

Visitors reach you. Instead, you reach them:

Visitors to your blog or website will reach you instead of you researching them through blog commenting, guest posting, and social media. Although we must be using all those techniques to reach a lot of people when people reach you, it makes a good reputation in their minds as I explained in the above point.

With organic traffic, you are paid more if you are using any Monetizing network:

According to my experience, I have seen that monetizing networks like Google AdSense, Infolinks, and some others pay more when our website gets more organic traffic instead of referrals or any other type of traffic. I have not only experienced the high CPC rate with the monetizing networks, but many other bloggers have also experienced the same. Whereas with the referral or any other type of traffic, I have experienced a lot less earning as compared to the organic search.

And best think It boosts the owner of the website:

It is the best thing, from the day I started receiving traffic through Google Search, I felt very relaxed and self-confident. Getting traffic through organic search Boosts me and signals me that I am going on the right path. And I am sure that for other bloggers and webmasters getting results through Google search boosts self–confidence. And as a result, more hard work on their websites.

Why is this kind of traffic hard to get?

A long time ago when there was no or very little competition, it was a lot easier to get more traffic using organic search but the competition is increasing day by day. There is a website that keeps on counting the number of websites published each second; its stats show that 1 billion websites are live today and the number keeps on increasing. You can check the total number of websites on the internet at internetlivestats.com. Now you can yourself put estimate how difficult is to rank a keyword on the first page of Google.

I have taken the above screenshot from the same website which shows how competition has increased in the last five years. From the above stats, you can imagine how hard it is to get organic traffic for your blog or website when there are billions of websites on the internet, and everyone is making an effort to rank on Google SERPs. I recommend you to check the above website if you want to get proper stats about the number of websites and see how it matters a lot.

How to get more Organic traffic to your blog or website?

In the third point, I mentioned that it is hard to get organic traffic to your blog or website. But it is not impossible. Even though I am getting a lot of organic traffic to my blog, and if you have reached this post of mine through organic search, that only means it is possible to get more organic traffic to your website and blog. If you are reading this post because you have subscribed to my blog or through social media or any other referring sites then I will explain to you how organic search is working for me and how you can get the same traffic for your blog or websites. There are many posts on my blog which appear on the first page of Google.

I have written a post on “Does Google Count Keywords in the URL?” Which appears on the first page of Google when searched. In that post, I have shown some of the results of my blog posts which appear on the first page of Google search. There are many more results, but it will make the post a lot longer. And I don’t want to bore you with a long written post, instead just want to provide some basic information only.

Now let’s move to our main topic how can we get more organic traffic to our blog or website?

Many things are responsible for getting the organic type of traffic for your blog or website.

First, comes Creating Unique Content: If your Website doesn’t have unique content, then there is no chance that your site may appear on the Google SERPs. As content creation is an important part of SEO but it must be handled with care. You can use some of the tools to check if the content you are going to publish is unique or not, you can use any Plagiarism tool for that, and to even check if the content is unique or not on the existing website you can use the Copyscape tool to check the duplicate content.

On-Page SEO: You must follow the Proper On-page SEO techniques for your website or blog. You can check my post on it; it will help you a lot. While doing On-Page SEO, I will recommend you use Long tail keywords with LSI Keywords. I have posted on these Topics which could help you get more organic searches. Like how to find longtail keywords and Why to Use Long tail keywords for your blog. Also, check a detailed guide about LSI keywords.

Use Good Off-SEO Techniques: Don’t use those techniques that Google has asked you not to use, in 2015 many Off-Page SEO techniques asked Google to stop practicing. But still, several Off-Page SEO techniques work well. Like, I follow the techniques that have helped me to get on the first page of Google SERPs. So, The techniques I use to get more organic traffic for my blog are Blog commenting, Guest posting, Social Bookmarking, Social media optimization, the Skyscraper technique, exchanging links, and taking part in community sites like Indiblogger, Inbound, and Growthhacker.

Look for the keywords with less or No competition but with high Traffic: sometimes it becomes a difficult task to look for those keywords that have high traffic and very little competition. But believe me, it will not be a waste of time. Once you find this kind of keyword, you will be able to get an Organic search for your keywords easily.

More importantly, follow the rules of Google: As we all know if we are not going to follow the rules of Google, then we are going to reach nowhere. Google is becoming smarter than human beings and uses artificial intelligence which makes it more dangerous.

Some Extra Tips which will help:

Don’t copy content from other websites and use it on your website.

Build Quality links; bad links could end up with a Google penalty.

Try not to use the exact match anchor text for your links.

Publish Long Post. Google likes detailed and well-written posts. So, you can read about it on that how long a blog post should be.

Use Keywords in the URL of the page or post.

Write a post that attracts the other blogs to link to you naturally.

And the last point that I want to share with you is to try to write a post that helps others.

Finally, What I want to say:

In the above points, I wrote that it is difficult to get Organic traffic but not impossible. So, you can get more traffic. As there is no doubt that organic traffic is the best kind of Traffic, I want your opinion also. So, leave your opinion in your comments.

Healthcare over the years has evolved to a more advanced stage where modern medicine and technology have not only made lives easier or painless, but it has allowed people to receive better and efficient treatment. People found it challenging to market the latest treatments or medicine during ancient times and spread awareness about any health-related news that might benefit or warn people. Modern technologies have revolutionized the world, making it easier and accessible to reach or market people, unlike ancient times with digital marketing, which uses different platforms like social media to aid various industries, especially the healthcare industry.

Social media marketing is one of the most popular methods used to market any industry and stay connected with customers. Based on the healthcare industry, social media platforms allow hospitals and clinics to remain associated with their customers personally, which will enable them to share useful health-related information that would help the customers make decisions that best suit them. There are different ways that various health industries could plan their social media marketing which could impact the healthcare industry.

Techniques for Healthcare Social Media Marketing

When it comes to social media marketing, the healthcare industry could use various platforms like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc. With the help of social media, it could help them get more likes, shares, or interactions, providing information and spreading awareness to various audiences. Different plans could help guide the healthcare industry towards successful social media marketing.

Share Health News

Health industries have a vast knowledge regarding any latest or old health-related news that could help people gain information that might help them prevent any disease. Sharing such stories on social media could help healthcare connect with their customers and educate them to make better or comfortable decisions. Research shows that 20 percent of adult users receive most of their health news through social media, making it a place for health professionals or health industries to distribute all the essential information. Once the info is shared, people have many questions that allow the health companies or professionals to answer, so a connection is built.

Engagement with Customers

Most patients have queries or would like to know about any latest news within the healthcare field, giving healthcare companies an advantage to stay engaged with their patients regularly. There are different methods to engage with patients, like creating live polls, replying to comments, asking questions about the content, gaining brand awareness for your healthcare company, and attracting large audiences. Different well-written blogs or articles could help educate the patients and lead them towards your company. Proper engagement with the patients would allow the healthcare company to build trust and loyalty to acquire more patients.

Promoting Latest Treatment, Events, and More

The healthcare industry keeps evolving every step of the way due to advancements in technology or discoveries for curing diseases. If a healthcare company shares their latest findings or treatments on social media would help promote their company. Most healthcare companies hold events, either paid or free, like seminars and therapy sessions where all the information regarding the event could easily be shared on social media. Studies show that a minimum of 2 hours is spent daily on social media ten years to 70 years old, making it easier for them to visit any health news, events, or content on social media. There are various healthcare industries that people have an interest in, like veterinary, hospitals, or holistic healers. People that have pets would find interest in any information that vets offer. Hospitals have the latest news to warn people or introduce different treatments that most people keep up to date. People sometimes do not believe in modern medicine, so they prefer holistic healers like spiritual consultants for natural remedies or treatments.

Patient-Generated Content

Patients within a healthcare industry have two opinions: good or bad, which they share on social media once that particular healthcare company has treated them. A patient that was impressed with the treatment would mention the company personally by name on any social media platform, which would help raise the companies to brand higher, automatically attracting other patients. However, if the patient is unhappy with the company, it could harm the brand’s reputation, which might lower the chance of getting new patients. Marinating a level of engagement with such patients helps show the dedication, trust, and loyalty between the company and the patient, which could benefit that healthcare brand. Another way to achieve appropriate generated patient content is by communicating with top influencers of the health industry that would help share the healthcare company’s brand name on all of their social media platforms.

Conclusion

Social media marketing is considered one of the most effective digital marketing ways for connecting, promoting, and engaging with a wide range of customers. The healthcare industry could benefit from helping their brand grow through trust and loyalty. Since most of the population find social media an exciting platform, healthcare companies could use this method to attract the specific audience they are targeting either organically or through paid marketing.

Proper link building will improve your chances to rank higher in search engine result pages (SERPs) and your organic traffic will increase. What exactly do you need for an organic link building strategy?

Link Building is basically the process of creating links leading to your site. Organic link building is a very valuable part of any search engine optimization strategy.

This is due to Google’s prioritization of a site’s Authority. The Authority of a site is determined by the links leading to the site. The health of the links is an important factor too.

That’s because junk links are a breach of search engine rules. Also, quality links just work better in your favor.

There are many SEO link building techniques around and when you combine them the impact of your efforts will visibly improve.

10 Golden Rules

1. Create Trendy Content

Creating unique and original content to generate links and traffic is still one of the organic link building strategies today.

Craft content that gives people something valuable, something informative, something that they want.

You should start by researching popular search phrases for your website, product, or service and choose keywords with a low level of competition.

Then, you can write unique articles using the keywords that you have chosen.

This also goes for guest blogging. You can hire an exceptional team to create guest blog articles that are high-quality and informative for people. Blogger outreach service companies, like Linkdoctor.io, can save time and resources so you can focus on other priorities.

2. Prioritize Link Relevance

Google likes to see the connection in links. Your website should have links from a site with a similar niche.

This doesn’t mean that all links have to be similar. Sites are often mentioned in unrelated forums and blogs. For example, an internet newspaper forum may have people discussing politics.

The bottom line here is, be present where you are relevant. It might take some research, but you’ll want to be visible where it counts.

3. Understand Content Marketing

This may be one of the oldest methods used by marketing agents. However, it’s still useful. As long as you create similar and useful content for the site’s readers, then you’re on the right path.

Some basic things you can do with content writing are:

Submitting to article directories

Submitting to Blogs

Submitting to a credible site

Your articles should show up in the search results for the low competition keywords that you have chosen. Having great content can result in generating traffic for your website.

4. Pursue Natural Linking Intent

Google has a complicated algorithm to determine if the linking intent is commercial or natural. The system is not perfect and Google can make mistakes.

To avoid all penalties, you should always apply this simple rule: an organic link to showcase your site in front of your audience.

Here are a few things to avoid:

Irrelevant links just for “link juice”

Having your links in irrelevant articles

Obsolete links

Dead links

You should look for these links and remove them right away. Toxic links will be bad for you, so this is worth spending some time on.

Creating organic links is something Google likes to see. It would also be a good practice to get backlinks not only from sites with the .com extension, but particularly from websites with.org, .net, .gov, and .edu extensions.

In a few cases, websites will include links to their articles for the sake of SEO. But with today’s algorithm, this won’t be as effective as before. This could even get websites penalized.

5. Comment on Blogs

This technique has been abused in the past. Regardless, it is still very effective when used in combination with other organic link building methods. The trick is to make sure that what you have to say means something.

Search for blogs that are similar to your website, product, or service and make sure that they allow you to enter your name and URL when posting a comment.

Read the blog and post a comment that is useful and informative. Webmasters will delete comments that they view as spam and it is important that you add value with your comment and not try to sell yourself.

Post comments on both do-follow and no-follow blogs to make sure that the search engines view the links as “natural”.

However, please avoid spamming this resource. Spam comments often lead to penalties and a bad reputation for your site.

6. Use Deep Linking

Use your backlink building technique all through your website, not merely to a single page.

A natural hyperlink design should appear in several locations of a website. It’s simple to persuade people to try a new experience with deep linking, such as installing an app.

Nevertheless, there isn’t any typical deep link ratio. The majority of websites conduct themselves differently. For instance, weblogs generally have much more as compared to others.

7. Optimize the Site for Your Readers

Google has a lot of ways to gather insights on pages. For example, they can run a reverse engineering algorithm to determine which site sells links.

They will analyze the age of the domain, who it belongs to, and if it was transferred.

To make sure a search engine understands what your content is about, you’ll need to include the keyword a few times in the article.

Google can determine if your site is commercial or informational. They will also analyze how users behave on your site. For example, if users hit the back button right after landing on your site, this is not a good sign.

With this data, Google can determine how people “experience” your site. This is why you should give importance to User Experience.

Some things to watch out for when it comes to user experience are:

Long loading times

Bland, text-filled pages

Thin pages

Difficult site navigation

Allowing site visitors to enjoy your site implies they spend more time in it. This reflects positively with Google and how they will rank your page.

8. Observe Consistency

Don’t let Google question your website authority. It won’t matter if your web-site gets 1000 links the first 5 days. What counts is how this develops over time.

Consistency is the key. If you’re organic link building 15 links per day, try to stick to that number.

If the links stop all of a sudden, Google will start asking questions. “What happened to the site? Why is no one linking to it anymore? Has it become irrelevant?”

Don’t get in the position where Google has to question your authority. It’s only natural, if you just made the headlines, you will get thousands of links in a short period from web-sites like CNN and BBC.

9. Operate, Don’t Stroll Through SEO Spam-Havens

Link directories and farms are considered irrelevant nowadays. They will only get you penalized. Hyperlink farming and link directories are mainly referred to as useless in regards to link building.

Don’t look for credit within spam-havens or even link-exchange systems.

Whenever you’re prepared to incorporate backlink building to your Organic Search effort, you have to talk to SEO experts who understand backlink building guidelines.

10. Develop Backlinks with Superior, Moderate as well as Low PR websites

Keep in mind, to always modify the anchor text. The same idea has to with backlink building over a selection of PR websites.

Authority hyperlinks are wonderful, but a selection of high and low PR websites may be the approach to take. Guest blogging is an effective way to reach new readers.

By publishing articles on other well-known websites, you’ll get your content in front of new readers and get more exposure.

Conclusion

If you don’t develop a link building strategy you’ll be wasting your time, and money if you pay for links. It is a risk to do so because generating backlinks based on quantity over quality can result in a serious penalty.

The purpose of a link building strategy is to plan to build high-quality links that target incoming traffic. In other words, having incoming links creates visibility for a site.

It also adds credibility because each quality, targeted backlink counts as a vote for a site as far as SEO is concerned. Also, each link placed among relevant content to a product or service increases the chances of making a sale.

Hopefully, you will be able to apply these simple techniques to your link building strategy. Don’t try to play the system and you will see rewards.

To sustain it at all times, you need both organic traffic from search engines and traffic from outside sources, such as forums, blogs, and, of course, social media. And difficulty Twitter can bring traffic to your website about which we will talk in this post.

Platforms like Facebook and Instagram have plenty of popularity. However, there is another social media site that seems to be neglected recently. If you were to look at Twitter statistics, you would realize just how many benefits it has. And on top of that, it can bring you plenty of traffic.

Include Website Address in the Profile

The first and most obvious tip is to include the website’s address in your Twitter profile. It should be a no-brainer, yet some businesses still somehow manage to neglect this. You have to make your profile as professional as you can. And the site’s link is definitely one of the most important things of that.

Tweet Same Links More Than Once

If the article on your website is relevant for the foreseeable future, you can certainly tweet it more than once. Some businesses even take the liberty of posting the same link twice or three times every day.

Some would say that this behavior could be detrimental, but they do not consider the fact that not every single follower keeps tabs on your feed. Thus, missing a tweet or two is not unheard of.

The biggest problem with this is to determine how much becomes too much. It does not help if you do not have enough posts on the website either. Nevertheless, if you continue to stick to testing this strategy, you should be able to find the perfect formula in no time.

Twitter Links in the Article

You are probably already using social media icons on your website. Seeing those is a good incentive for readers to click and do the work for you. However, you could take things to another level and encourage them to share the post on their account. There is a tool, called ClickToTweet. You can include a separate link for retweeting anywhere in the article.

Again, you will need to be careful as it can seem like something completely out of place. And while unnoticeable at first, too many of these links could slow down the loading speed of your website.

Repurpose Blog Content for Twitter

People are leaning towards reading the content on Twitter rather than going to the original blog post. There are ways to take advantage of that. You can start with repurposing the article into images or videos, and then put the link to the blog.

For images, pick out a couple of quotes from the article. It should be something to catch the attention of others. If they become interested, they will want to read the whole article.

As for videos, well, it is self-explanatory. You can simply announce a new article on the website and leave the link in the video tweet.

Suggested:

Tricks to improve Twitter reputation.

Mention Other Accounts

Social media connects the whole world, and cooperating with other content creators is beneficial for all parties. All you need to do is simply mention other people in your blog post. Once you start to promote it on Twitter, contact the person you mentioned. If your post is decent, you can definitely expect to get a positive reaction, such as a retweet to their audience.

Retweet and Thank

Keep an eye on everyone who is retweeting and liking your posts. Make sure to thank them and sometimes retweet their posts as well. This will further solidify your relationship, increasing the chances of the same person retweeting your posts in the future.

Clickbait

Some entrepreneurs would argue that clickbait is bad news. However, the current internet culture has developed into one which tends to pay more attention to headlines and slogans rather than the articles themselves. Even if you are not comfortable with doing it, there is no denying that click baits do wonders for those seeking to bring in more traffic to their websites.

Pinned Tweets

If your Twitter feedback consists of more than just links to the article, you will need to make sure that the pinned tweet has a link to the most recent blog post. Since pinned tweets are at the top, they tend to get the most attention.

Influencers

A final piece of advice would be hiring a Twitter influencer. You can ask him or her to retweet your post or give you a shoutout the next time they tweet. If the audience is big, you can definitely expect to see more people coming your way.

In conclusion, Twitter is certainly capable to bring in traffic to your website. And if you apply every single technique mentioned in this article, you should immediately notice the difference. Twitter might be old, but the platform has not lost its touch.

Getting backlinks is an SEO tactic that never gets old. It is one of the most efficient and productive methods that guarantee an increase in search result rankings. Through backlinks, site visitors can gauge the credibility of the content posted on the website. Think of it as trying a restaurant or availing of a company’s service for the first time. Before entering into an agreement, you first do your research to see if they are worth the time, effort, and investment. You also ask friends for their feedback and if it’s positive, that’s the only time you feel confident about your decision. That positive feedback or recommendation is what a backlink does for your website. Thus, the more quality backlinks a website has, the higher its credibility. As an aftermath, the website gets ranks higher in search engine results. So, in this post, we talk about the new age of link building to improve organic search results.

Valuable Backlinks are Essential for SEO

As mentioned earlier, backlinks are a vote of confidence for your website. This shows they approve of and are impressed by the quality of the content you post. The fact that someone else is willing to credit you and cite you as their reference means there is something valuable in your website.

Tools that measure how trustworthy a website is focused on domain authority. The basis of this metric is the size, popularity, trust-related indicators, age, and link data of the website. The scale is from 0 to 100, with zero being the lowest. If your website is on the higher end of the scale, then it will also have high rankings on different search engines. This is why you need to make sure that you only build high-quality backlinks. One more core point that needs to be taken care of is the traffic of the website where you build backlinks.

So, now that it’s 2019, what New Link Building Strategies will work for you?

Just for Kicks

This strategy is right at the top of Neil Patel‘s list but you may want to check out first if this will work for you. It involves creating parody websites and fake products. Again, this is risky so you need to assess if this strategy is right up your ally. If you wish to pursue this, you need to execute it properly or else you can draw a lot of negative publicity.

Simply put, the strategy is about pulling a prank on people. If you take a look at topics that have been trending lately, it has a lot to do with humor, products that solve problems, or trivia that’s too good to be true. While the end goal is to have a lot of backlinks, a lot of it also has to do with being credible or at least faking it until you make it. Most website owners who tried this strategy now have a lot of backlinks, which means the strategy worked. They too, however, have received boos from people who are not too happy about the prank.

Connect with Staff Members of Prominent Education Sites to get Edu Links

Pranks aside, you can also pursue the Edu backlinking method. Edu sites are not just a high-class domain but they are also enriched with the huge trust, authority, relevance, and traffic that many businesses desire. Though these backlinks are difficult to build but as long as you know how to deal by using various outreach processes, you can get these links. Edu links can Skyrocket your link-building efforts and you can find these links by looking at Resource Pages, Scholarship Sites, and moreover by paying the authors with.Edu Blogs.

Answer Questions

Some SEO sources suggest questions posted online by people from different parts of the world. While Google is known for doing a swell job at this, there are still some questions out there that Google cannot answer. This is where you come in.

You can join a forum to provide answers and share what you know about certain topics. You can also suggest that they visit your blog so they can look for other articles on your site that may be helpful to them. This can range from answering various problematic questions and if your online content solves their problem, there is a high possibility that they will visit your website. Sites like Quora can be a good source to increase website traffic.

The Classic Strategy That Never Grows Old

Content marketing is a link-building strategy that has been there since the very beginning. It is still the “most legitimate”, and top bloggers and SEOs commonly follow this. Fresh content, especially if it is well-written, can already generate a lot of backlinks. The strategy is simple, but it is also risk-free since all you have to do is good research, write well, and make sure that you are not plagiarizing anything. The good thing about content marketing is you can go back to the articles that you’ve written in the past and revise them so they still become relevant. Sometimes simple tweaks already mean a lot, especially if it’s going to be read by a fresh set of eyes. This also saves you time and effort. You don’t need to write new articles all the time; sometimes you just need to be creative. Sharing your content on social media is the icing on the cake which will return a lot of target users. Your social media can even work well when you post differently and design interesting images and graphics.

Organize Meet-ups and Travels

You can organize a meet-up with other bloggers or with the people who follow you online. While interactions online are fine, conversations done face-to-face are still more meaningful. This also allows you to know more about your followers and other bloggers so you get a feel of what topics to talk about on your website in the future.

Traveling to different places will also give everyone a different experience. You can visit different tourist spots, dine at restaurants, and blog about it. This strategy is so simple but it will give you an abundance of backlinks.

Building quality backlinks do not cost an arm and a leg. It also is not rocket science. It is about being creative with your strategies and knowing what content engages your followers or site visitors. It helps to remember expertise, authoritativeness, and trustworthiness. There has to be a tone of confidence in the content that you upload, whether it be an article, photos, or video. The reader or viewer must feel that you know what you’re talking about and that you have a certain level of expertise in your field or industry. This way, they will be comfortable using your site as a source. The backlinks will come, of course since references need to be cited.

You also need to be authoritative and trustworthy. It helps when you put in your sources or references for the content and articles that you upload. This shows readers and viewers that you took the time to do some research before working on the content. This also sends the message that you take your website seriously. By doing this, you become an authority and you gain the trust of the people who use your site as their source. Since they think that you are reliable, they will link back to your website. Make it fun for people to navigate around your website, and ensure that the content you upload is interesting and engaging. Adding a little bit of humor also helps especially when the topics you intend to discuss are a bit heavy or technical.

If you’re like most people, you have pages sitting on Google’s second and third pages, and so on. These pages can have long-tail keywords that you’re not even optimizing! That’s an SEO crime! I’ll show you how to quickly find these pages and keywords and almost effortlessly bring them on top of the search. As organic search is considered the best source of traffic, so you put your effort here.

Usually, we all have pages optimized for long tails. They are easier to push through high competition and have more discernable intent behind them, which makes them ideal for SEO. And in almost all cases we lose a great share of traffic that these pages could bring. Being on Google’s second page is like being one step closer to success and not making this step, but still not succeeding Preposterous. But today I will tell you that how you can rank on Google’s first page and get more organic traffic to your website or blog.

Part 1. Identifying Pages That Rank on Google’s Second Page

You can fiddle with Google Webmaster Tools (GWT) and then check each keyword manually with Google Keyword Planner (KWP), but that’s cumbersome, and you will waste your time as well as energy. So, I am here with a simple tool with which you can save your time and energy and rank your keywords on Google’s first page with ease.

So, simply run your domain through Serpstat.com (since this tool doesn’t require you to be the site’s owner, I’ll run nike.com as an example) and click on “Tree View”:

With Google Webmaster Tools, you’d have to sort your list of keywords by “Avg. Position” and scroll down until you see the 11th position and lower. Then you’d have to run the ones you selected with Google Keyword Planner to estimate their volumes. And then you’d still have to identify which of your pages are currently ranking for these keywords. According to my opinion, Google never gives the exact results in Google webmaster tools and Google keyword planner that’s why we have to depend on other tools which provide us accurate results and help us to rank on Google’s First Page.

I’m tired of just listing these steps, never mind performing them.

Luckily, now you can see your pages along with your keywords (their position dynamic, Volume, CPC, and level of competition) all in one place:

Now, click on “Filters”:

Set the values 11 to 20 in the “Domain position for a keyword” field (you can go deeper with the 30th and even the 40th positions, but let’s focus on Google’s second page first), hit Enter and you’ll have your list of keywords and pages:

Some of our pages (or Nike’s in this case) contain long-tail keywords in the 11th to 20th position bracket. You can see that this page ranks in the 11th position for at least one long tail – “12 weeks half marathon training schedule” – which makes it ideal for further optimization. It would take a few weeks to get this page on top of this query. We’ll gain considerably more traffic as a result.

Part 2. Optimization and Tracking

Now that we’ve located our potential top pages and keywords let’s move on to optimization. Lucky you, I won’t mention meta tags and keyword density – not once. Instead, we’re going to focus on just one on-page practice – internal linking – and mention a few others.

But before we proceed, I encourage you to start tracking your newly targeted keywords. There’s nothing innovative about this action, but tracking will give you a wider view of competing pages and will let you quickly identify good content out there. Consider this an integral part of your optimization process.

When it comes to position tracking, there’s no such thing as an overly in-depth analysis. Unfortunately, not that many tools track keywords as deep as the top 100, while others offer only domain tracking, like SEMrush and Ahrefs, for example. Anyhow, the choice of tool is up to you.

Here’s my project which lets me track individual keywords as far as the top 100, but it’s strictly confidential, so you never saw it, right?

Now that you monitor your keywords’ positions, you’re all set. Our next step is to use our selected long tails as anchors and set up interlinking. We’re spreading link juice and showing Google that this page is more important. And Google will oblige!

Amazon might get away with a gazillion anchors per product page:

But you won’t. It’s widely disputed, but the optimal number of interlinks per page is somewhere between 3 and 4. Using our keywords on position 11 in our anchor text, title tags, and H1 is a great way to boost our SEO.

Check:

How to do image optimization for better SEO?

As you may remember, some of our pages contain more than one potentially top-ranking keyword.

In this case, we could use “Jordan retro release date” as an anchor text to link to our respective product page.

Now we have our list of pages and keywords (note that this identification stage only took us few minutes) and should move on to further optimizing these pages for these keywords.

Now, all we have to do is watch them crawl upward and remember to keep an eye on their positions.

Finally What I want To say:
