Include On Your Website

With 2024 just around the corner, it’s time to start thinking about your website and marketing strategies for the New Year. Whether you are looking to update your entire website or just want to make a few tweaks to it, you must start the New Year with some fresh ideas. After all, your website is the first thing people interact with. With website designs and user experiences changing day by day, it may be difficult to know where to start.

Not only is the feel and look of your website important for your brand or business, but you also want it to be user-friendly and informative. You may be wondering what I can add to my website which would be beneficial for me to bring in more revenue to my business. Don’t worry, as today we are going to look at 7 things that you can include on your website to be up to date for the year 2024.

Availability of Dark Mode

With the demand for dark mode settings across different devices, you should consider adding such a mode to your website. Dark mode enables users to choose a dark theme that can be easy on their eyes and provide them with a user-friendly experience. The dark mode also enables the user to save battery on their mobile devices that have an AMOLED screen on them. This trend has been seen on many new websites and you should apply it to yours as well.

Better Call to Action Triggers

A call to action command is an instruction designed to provoke a visitor on a website for an immediate response. Typical examples are, “call us now”, “Visit a store today” and “For more information click here”. They are typically used on brochures, flyers, and catalogs as well. Your call to action triggers should align with the content of your website and be part of your overall strategy. Buttons should be placed accurately and should match the rest of the colors on your website. Use a short and concise trigger so that the visitor doesn’t get bored with long prompts.

Mobile Integration

We cannot stress enough as it is the most important thing you can do to your website for the year 2024. You need to make sure that your website functions and works the same way on a mobile device as it does on a computer or laptop. Google usually ranks mobile-friendly websites at the top of its search result page. A study done by Google shows that almost half the people use mobile phones to search for things on the internet. So it is a good idea that you make your website mobile-friendly, to avoid missing out on expanding your brand or business.

Testimonials

User testimonials and experiences should be a welcome addition to your website. Research shows that 79% of people trust customer reviews and testimonials. So, if your company has positive reviews from your previous clients or customers, take advantage of it. Let your potential clients know that people who have used your services have had a good experience with you. Testimonials build trust and show people that you can be trusted.

Add Authentic Photos and Videos

People can usually tell if your website is using authentic photos or some generic photos you have randomly downloaded from the internet. While it can be a time-consuming and expensive task, using authentic videos and photos can make you stand out from the competition. Visuals are an important aspect of marketing your company so don’t go for the cheapest option you can find. A high-quality video in the background can entice the visitor and can pique their interest in your company. Also, add a gallery option on your website to showcase your work. This can be beneficial as you will be able to show visuals of the work you have done with your clients in the past.

Contact Information

How foolish it would be to lose a potential customer when either you haven’t provided your contact information or they just can’t find it on your website. Providing contact information that is easy to find is extremely important as not every potential customer can scroll through pages just to get in contact with you. Include your contact details on an easy-to-spot area of your website, preferably, on the top right or left corner. For search engine optimization, giving contact information also plays an important role.

It is also ideal to display that information on every page of your website or on the main home page you can give an additional tab to search your contact details with your map location as well. It is also a good idea to provide the customer with more than one way of getting in touch with you, for example, email, phone, fax, and online chat.

Also, consider adding a stand-alone contact page on your website instead of small text in a certain area. You should display all the important contact information that a customer can take down to reach you.

Go Flash-Free

We already knew that the days of Adobe Flash are over, but it is amazing how many websites still make use of it. The support for flash will officially end in the year 2024, so it is a good idea to avoid using flash animations and include something more updated like HTML5 videos and animations on your website. If you already have a website and were previously using Flash for an intro animation, completely remove it to take visitors directly into your content.

Using flash also takes up a lot of bandwidth for a user and is comparatively difficult to code for. Sometimes your website takes much time to browse or open pages. So, it is a good idea if you avoid the use of Flash altogether as it is an outdated technology nowadays. Many mobile phones and devices have stopped using flash as well.

Conclusion

Having an impressive-looking and great functioning website can be beneficial for your business. It will help you bring in more clients and revenue for your business. The more people visit your website the more marketing you will also get. Staying up to date is an important aspect of keeping your business running smoothly and successfully and creating a website that has the same aspect is a great way to market your business or brand. Today we have made away with some of the things you can include on your website to keep it updated and help you give a competitive edge over your competitors.
