Really helpful information on a basic topic, I think instead of self-hosted video we all can do upload it to youtube and then embed it on our site. Because this is the far better way to increase traffic to your content, double optimizing video in youtube and own site can drive huge traffic and I was once able to make 5-6 high DA backlinks from a youtube video that I posted with a link in its description.

Great post! It’s actually right on time because I’m planning on putting some videos and tutorials on my site and this freelancer I talked to was a little pricey so I will definitely investigate that Movavi Screen capture. Thanks for this information.

Video is a powerful marketing tool if use it right. But, it will only be possible if you have a quality video. All the points you have mentioned here are important to make a quality video.

I did have a screen capture software that I was using but lost it when my computer crashed, I will have to check out the one you suggested.

Hi Robin,

Very timely post for me as I’m working up to publishing videos on my site. So far I have hosted at YouTube for the reasons you mention. However I am just exploring another place to host them. As well? Am very new to all things video LOL.

However a few weeks ago I bought some of the Movavi software and have been really delighted with it. Also, when I bought something unsuitable – even though it was completely my fault – they cheerfully exchanged the product for something that was better for me.

Agree with your recommendation for Movavi 🙂
