Hi!

Is Google not enticing criminals to attack their systems with a bounty? In the Uk that could be construed as enticement to commit a crime. Yes maybe there is a NDA agreement that gets signed… Maybe too it highlights that ‘hackers’ can attack a system and get paid for the privilege of it but I think perhaps it is a risky way to see if a system can be compromised. Still 100K is tempting… Maybe people will try and see if they can break the security once they claim the bounty then what? Do they get offered a job at Google?

Hello Robin, will you be trying your hands on that? I do think Google will be pocketing back their money left with just me and you. Haha!

I’m an astute lover of Google and their products. I for instance ditched Firefox for Google Chrome and yahoo for Gmail.

This is why Google is top notch when it comes to Security. They accept that even with their experts, they can’t contain the issue of lack of security on their own so what better way than to reward those who can go the extra mile to unveil their bugs.

I wouldn’t bother with anything security related myself again with Google. I showed them an exploit that was being used via Google search and it took ages just to get a 1 sentence reply that clearly didn’t understand what I had written. A follow up took just as long and was just as clueless.
