The Central Government of India is celebrating 10 years of the “Digital India initiative.” So to celebrate this movement, the Central Government has announced an exciting contest that could help you earn cash just by creating a 1-minute Reel. The title of this competition is ‘A Decade of Digital India – Reel Contest’, all the creative content creators creators, and video editors across the country are invited. And yes, there will be a real cash prize involved.

Why and what is the reason that this contest is happening?

Launched in 2015. Since that time, the only goal of the Digital India Mission has been to make government services accessible online and empower the country through digital growth. Now, they have completed 10 successful years. And on its 10th anniversary, the government of India wants all the citizens who are passionate about creating reels and videos to participate in this contest, so the Government can know how far India has come digitally.

This includes improvement in E-learning access, Digital health tools, Online services, Fintech and UPI adoption, and if any of these have made your life easier, then you can come forward and tell that story in a creative way through reels.

What makes this contest even more exciting?

The government of India is not just looking for videos; they’re also offering a total of INR 2 lakh in cash prizes.

The money will be distributed in the following ways:

• Top 10 Reels – INR 15,000 each
• Next 25 Reels – INR 10,000 each
• Next 50 Reels – INR 5,000 each

In total, 85 winners will be selected. Even if you are not in the TOP 10 winners, your creativity will still be valued and rewarded.

2. Click on the option for ‘A Decade of Digital India – Reel Contest’
3. Log in using your email ID, mobile number, or social media account
4. Submit your reel before the deadline: August 1, 2025
5. Once submitted, you’ll receive a confirmation message or email
6. The most important reminder is that you need to give your best shot because you can upload only one reel per entry.

Total watch time is the sum of all viewing time for your reel, including any replaying time. The average amount of time spent watching your reel can be calculated by dividing the average watch time by the total number of plays.
