LinkedIn is introducing puzzle-based games within the LinkedIn experience. The professional networking platform owned by Microsoft is focusing on gaming. The platform is planning to enhance user engagement by investing in the trend of on-site puzzle games.

Everything You Need to Know

LinkedIn is introducing a new feature where player scores will be associated with their workspaces, resulting in companies being “ranked” based on these scores. As reported by Tech Crunch, LinkedIn currently is in the process of developing three puzzle-based games titled “Queens’, “Inference” and “Crossclimb”. LinkedIn is introducing these new structures of ideas as a step to creative hiring.

No specific Launch date has been confirmed yet.

Non-gaming platforms Adapting Gaming

LinkedIn is not the only or the first non-gaming platform to introduce such a creative process. Platforms like Wordle in 2022 had made a successful impact with a similar foundation of work. This motivated Newspaper companies to include a broader platform of online puzzles and games focused on attracting user’s attention.

However, the introduction of gaming into non-gaming platforms has not always been that successful. Meta, formerly known as Facebook is one of the world’s largest social networking sites. A bad decision in social gaming caused the usage and engagement to fall.

Is This A Good Step By LinkedIn?

LinkedIn is a platform that is primarily intended for professionals. People on LinkedIn put in a lot of effort, sometimes even for months, to display their accomplishments and work experience. A lower status in the company ranking can discourage candidates from even considering applying for a job at that company.

The concept of using games as a tool to rank companies or employees can revolutionize the hiring process. Today’s technologically advanced generation loves to participate in platforms that use activities like games to help them build connections. Thus, LinkedIn introducing games can serve as an excellent introduction to the hiring process and bring about a positive change in how hiring is approached.

LinkedIn introduces an innovative content restraint framework, revolutionizing moderation queues and slashing the moment to identify policy breaches by 60%. This LinkedIn AI technology could pave the way for the tomorrow of content moderation as it becomes more widely accessible.

LinkedIn Will Ensure Content Integrity: The Approach to Handling Violations

LinkedIn’s content moderation units manually review potential policy violations, employing member reports, AI tools, and human assessments to identify and remove harmful content.

However, the sheer volume of items requiring review each week, numbering in the hundreds of thousands, poses a significant challenge.

Historically, using the FIFO process meant every item awaited its turn in a line, causing delays in reviewing and removing offensive content. This FIFO approach exposed users to damaging content for extended periods.

LinkedIn AI acknowledged the disadvantages of FIFO, stating, that this method has two disadvantages. First, not all content reviewed violates our policies, a significant portion is deemed non-violative, diverting reviewer attention from genuinely violative content. Second, reviewing items on a FIFO basis may delay the detection of violative content if encountered after non-violative content.”

In response, LinkedIn implemented an automated framework utilizing an ML model to prioritize potentially violating content, expediting the review process and addressing the limitations of FIFO.

Revolutionizing with XGBoost: The Latest LinkedIn AI Framework Implementation

Incorporating XGBoost, an ML model, the new LinkedIn AI framework predicts potential policy violations within content items. XGBoost is an open-source library that classifies and ranks things in a dataset. This ML model employs algorithms to teach on labeled datasets, discerning specific patterns, particularly identifying content items that violate policies.

After training, the model can pinpoint content likely in violation, necessitating human review in this specific technology app.

XGBoost stands at the forefront of technology, proving its efficacy in benchmarking trials. It excels in accuracy & also outperforms other algorithms in processing time.

LinkedIn New AI Tool will consider the emerging skill requirements within the workforce.

As per a LinkedIn survey, 90% of HR professionals experienced a transformation in various roles.

To implement this, LinkedIn is rolling out its manual version and introducing its new AI tool, “Recruiter 2024”. It aims to empower recruiters to become a valuable team asset. Furthermore, they are introducing a cutting-edge AI training feature within LinkedIn Learning.

Recruiter 2024 Harnesses AI for Streamlining the Hiring Process

LinkedIn New AI Tool, Recruiter 2024, leverages AI and utilizes an extensive database of over 950 million professionals to promptly produce highly qualified job candidates, extending beyond the customary focus on specific companies.

This innovative approach allows recruiters to express their candidate preferences in plain language. It will eliminate the need for tedious manual searches. Also, Ai will suggest lots of search keywords, which include their location, skill set, and type of position they are looking for. Recruiters will have broader candidate data for choosing the right candidate for a particular role in 2024.

In addition, LinkedIn has introduced integrations known as CRM Connect. It facilitates seamless connections between Recruiter and existing candidate relationship management systems.

AI-Powered Coaching Arrives on LinkedIn Learning

LinkedIn has revealed an upgrade to its LinkedIn Learning platform, incorporating AI-driven coaching through a chatbot interface. Moreover, It delivers personalized guides per job titles, career aspirations, and skill sets.

LinkedIn Future Ahead of LinkedIn’s New AI Tool

The testing of Recruiter 2024 and AI coaching in LinkedIn Learning is limited to select users. However, LinkedIn plans to make these features available to all Recruiter and Learning Hub users in the coming year. This is LinkedIn’s initial step in using AI to support HR and learning professionals.
