]]> It has been reported that a Microsoft Copilot rebrand is coming soon as Microsoft plans to use the new name across Microsoft Office apps.

Microsoft has been speculated to rebrand Copilot for more business-related purposes. The Microsoft Colpilot rebrand will see a name change to Microsft 365 Copilot. This rebrand will bring attention to the other paid tools available in Microsoft 365.

There are no details out on when the official rebrand will take place but it is safe to assume the name change will probably take place this year itself.

Microsoft Copilot Rebrand: More on this Copilot rebrand

The Copilot rebrand will also specify the AI assistant’s various integrations. For instance, ‘Microsoft 365 Copilot in Word’ is expected to replace ‘Copliot in Word’. Furthermore, Copilot’s integration into the finance, sales and service operations will be formally named ‘Microsoft 365 Copilot for Sales’. Within the Microsoft 365 suite, ‘Business Chat’ will encompass the graph and web chat experience.

The rebrand shows Microsoft’s intent to fully embrace the Copilot branding. It should be noted that the rebrand will most likely affect the business aspects of Microsoft AI. However, there are no plans in motion to change the mobile apps integrated with Copilot.

Microsoft is following in Google’s footsteps with the AI assistant rebrand. Google had famously changed its AI assistant from Bard to Gemini earlier this year in February.

Two months after releasing its AI-enabled Office features for enterprises in November, Microsoft also makes them available to customers. Today keeps the debut of Copilot Pro, a $20/month membership that grants users access to AI-enabled features within MS Office programs such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Moreover, users will have a priority key to the OpenAI models and can develop their Copilot GPT.

Suppose you are currently a subscriber to Microsoft 365 Personal or Home. In that case, you can access Copilot in Office programs for Mac, Windows, and iPad by paying an additional $20 per month (per person). You can use the inline Copilot experiences in Word to rewrite paragraphs, generate content, and summarize papers. You can even generate complete PowerPoint slide presentations from a chatbot-like prompt. While a preview version is accessible in Excel for data analysis, graph generation, and much more, Copilot will also appear in Outlook to assist with responding to or creating new emails.

All About Microsoft Copilot Pro’s New Features

With the notable exception of being able to request Copilot to create a PowerPoint presentation from a Word file, the majority of the capabilities that have been accessible to companies for the previous several months will be accessible to consumers.
