Wix has recently incorporated IndexNow into its services. It helps enhance the speed of search engines to index new content. This development is significant for many Wix users to boost their web traffic. In collaboration with Microsoft Bing and Wix users can get support for IndexNow. It is a forward-thinking initiative initiated by significant search engines.

Product Lead at Wix, Einat Hoobian-Seybold, expressed her enthusiasm about this integration, emphasizing that it underscores Wix’s dedication to offering “ready-made, top-tier SEO solutions.”

How Does IndexNow Work For Different Premium Sites?

IndexNow streamlines the usually laborious content indexing process for search engines like Bing, and Seznam.cz, Yandex, and Naver.com.

Traditionally, website owners depend on search engine sitemaps or crawling, which may be slower and, at times, less precise.

IndexNow simplifies this by allowing websites to send a simple HTTP request to inform search engines about any content changes, whether new content, updates, or deleted URLs.

Microsoft Bing and Wix assist companies in establishing a Digital Presence

Microsoft Bing’s Principal Program Manager, Fabrice Canel, has hailed IndexNow as a groundbreaking development in the industry.

Currently, it boasts a user base of over 60 million websites, collectively publishing more than 1.4 billion URLs every day. Impressively, reports indicate that IndexNow is responsible for 12% of all newly-clicked URLs in web search results, underscoring its effectiveness.

Both Microsoft Bing and Wix have high expectations that this new feature will significantly benefit Wix users in their efforts to expand their business endeavors and online presence.

The integration doesn’t demand extra efforts from SEO professionals or premium website owners, rendering it an uncomplicated tool for immediate content indexing.

This joint effort by Wix and Microsoft has the potential to transform the speed at which businesses respond to online market shifts, particularly those that heavily rely on their SERP rankings.

Learn about Bing AI’s new features and usage trends, such as multimodal visual search, expanded browser compatibility, and business chat. Over one billion Bing AI talks and 750 million photos have been generated in the six months after Bing and Edge were reinvented, according to Microsoft.

Edge has also experienced growth for nine straight quarters, demonstrating its ability to provide consumers all over the world with high-quality AI experiences.

Chat history and AI-Generated Images

Users can generate images from textual descriptions thanks to Microsoft’s innovative Bing Image Creator service, which uses DALL-E models from OpenAI. This innovative combination of verbal and visual AI-generated content has already inspired a wide range of creative application cases.

Bing’s Chat functionality has undergone additional enhancements. In the “Recent Activity” area, Bing can now recall previous encounters. The chat history feature improves the platform’s usefulness by allowing users to review previous chats.

Features for AI-Powered Search

The AI-powered capabilities of Bing are now also available to smartphone users thanks to Microsoft. Additionally, Windows Copilot’s integration of AI into PCs allows for centralized AI experiences for users.

By reducing the need for several programs, Windows Copilot and Bing Chat are designed to streamline workflows. SwiftKey, known for its AI-powered predictive text engine, is also integrated with Bing into its iOS and Android services. Today, users can use AI to produce words, receive AI translations, and change the email’s tone.

Users of Google Chrome may now access Bing’s artificial intelligence (AI) chat and AI-powered search tools from within the browser. According to Caitlin Roulston, the Director of Communications at Microsoft, they are testing access to Bing Chat in Safari and Chrome for a limited group of users. Once their standard testing procedures are finished, they plan to make this functionality available to a wider audience.

The AI conversation interface is not accessible to Bing app and Microsoft Edge logged-in users for several months.

Bing AI Chat access on Google Chrome

Recently, a fortunate group of select users gained the ability to chat with Bing AI through web browsers other than Edge. Users must recognize the AI chatbot’s privacy statement and accept the terms of service before gaining access to this function. However, there is a slight limitation when using Bing AI on Google Chrome, as it only accepts up to 2,000 characters for input, while the Edge browser allows for double that amount. Despite this disparity, it marks a step forward in expanding the availability of Bing AI chat to a wider audience beyond the Edge browser.

Experience Bing Copilot AI Search Results on Google Chrome

Certain logged-in users now have the opportunity to access Bing’s AI-powered copilot while performing search queries on Google Chrome. Look under the “Labs” section to see if this function is enabled. Bing search results on Chrome may also include chat responses generated by AI. According to initial reports by Windows Latest, some users have been able to enable dark mode while using Bing AI.

It’s important to remember that, much like mobile users cannot use the Bing app. Desktop browsers like DuckDuckGo and Safari may still be unable to use Bing AI features outside the Microsoft Edge browser. Despite this, the initial report highlights that some Safari users have managed to access Bing AI features, indicating potential expansion to other browsers.

Broadening the Scope of Microsoft’s AI Capabilities

The recent expansion of Bing AI to the leading web browser represents a significant change in Microsoft’s strategy, as they now aim to reach a wider audience with their AI capabilities across various platforms.

While it’s essential to acknowledge that there might be some limitations in the functionality of Bing AI when compared to its performance on Edge, users can still enjoy an enhanced search experience through this feature.

Microsoft’s decision to support multiple platforms indicates a promising direction for the future of AI, despite certain restrictions.

As Chrome users begin to adopt Bing AI features, the implications for Google Bard and the Search Generative Experience are yet to unfold. It will be interesting to observe how this change in dynamics might shape the AI landscape and user experiences across different platforms.
