Google Cloud recently launched Generative AI Ops, a new operation that aims to help stressed enterprise users benefit from new artificial intelligence development and shift new workloads into production.

The company revealed that shifting AI workloads into creation is not easy and requires a good knowledge of theory, such as Generative AI machine design, vast language model architectures, on-time engineering, estimation, and more.

The issue is that the ecosystem of Generative AI has extended so fast that there is insufficient capability to go around. For many enterprise users, Generative AI has become a priority.

However, two years ago, hardly anybody had ever known about it. It was only with OpenAI’s ChatGPT, which explained the technology’s unbelievable potential, that all of the users suddenly showed interest in it.

Google Cloud Generative AI Offerings

By using the Generative AI Scheme, Google Cloud Consulting and its partners offer a technique for this without expertise, giving companies the right to use an expert team who will guide them at each step as they change their Generative AI prototypes into production workloads.

According to new Google updates, the limit increased from 8,000 to 50,000 members. 

The biggest reason for this new update from Google is to help companies make wide announcements, event-oriented spaces, large communities, and support-related spaces. 

Overall to increase worldwide connectivity with other members and build thriving communities.

Google Chat New Limit Upgrade

Google has now upgraded the limit to 50,000 members, enhancing the organization’s productivity by enforcing the team size. 

Google said in a workspace blog post, “We hope this feature helps increase connectivity and sense of belonging. Also, create broader and more thriving communities within your organization.”

Google has rebranded the “Google Chats” as Spaces where members can create a space and do meetings. 

Additionally, a “Space Configuration” feature is available that allows space managers to choose any member to change details such as name, icon, description, guidelines, or turn chat on/off, etc.

With such a significant jump in the chat spaces, Google has rolled out various features such as message editing, sending reactions, message thread creation, and much more.

Search Members Filter

Additionally, Google has added a search member filter that allows users to search for specific members in the meeting easily.

Google also said if a member is present, you can change their role quickly. And add the members to the space.

This large limit feature has rolled out immediately, but it may take up to 15 days to receive worldwide users.

The search functionality will roll out on July 20 on the web. The Members feature will be rolled out in Android on August 7 and iOS on August 28.

These features are available exclusively for Google Workspace Customers.

Recently, Google rolled out a ‘viewer mode’ feature in Meet. It allows the admin to make all participants become viewers only and is restricted to sharing audio or video. This feature is named “Everyone is a viewer,” the admin can select in a meeting.

Meet Viewer Mode

The main aim of this ‘viewer mode’ feature is to reduce the potential distractions or disturbances in the meeting. Such as audio disruptions, and only allow participants to view the admin screen.

According to Google Workspace Updates, viewers couldn’t share their screen or audio during the meeting. So that increases the focus on the speaker, and the content, making the meeting more fruitful and effective.

Google said, “When a large group meeting is required, the host can switch to view mode. So that participants can only view the meeting without sharing audio or screen.”

However, viewers can use other Meet features such as QnA, Polls, etc. but not the in-meeting chat.

Meet Increases Participants Limit

Additionally, the Meet has increased the number of participants in a meeting capacity from 500 to 1,000.

This built-in viewer mode feature will automatically turn on when the number of joining participants is more than 500 in a meeting. 

How Does the Viewer Mode Work in Google Meet?

Firstly, the Host will use the video call options while creating a new meeting. 

There’s an option called ‘Guests.’ Click on the ‘Everyone is a viewer by default option. 

Once the changes are done, all the participants joining the meeting will automatically turn into viewers.

However, the host can designate attendees to share or present screen/audio as co-hosts and contributors.

Google Meet Support 1080p Quality Video Call

Meanwhile, Google has recently rolled out a new feature that now Meet supports 1080p video calls and enhances user interaction on Meet. However, this feature is not for all users; it’s only available for Google One premium members and some eligible workspace users.
