How to Connect Your Galaxy Ring to a Phone? How to set up?

To set up the Samsung Galaxy Ring on an Android phone, you need to follow these simple steps.

1. Download the Galaxy Wearable app: Search for and install the Galaxy Wearable app from the Galaxy Store (or Play Store) on your Android phone.
2. Enable Bluetooth: Make sure Bluetooth is turned on in your phone’s settings.
3. Open the Charging Case: Place your Galaxy Ring in its charging case and open the lid. This will initiate pairing mode.
4. Pairing: Your phone should automatically detect the ring. Open the Galaxy Wearable app and select your Galaxy Ring from the list of available devices.
5. Connect and Pair: Tap the “Connect” button on the pop-up (or in the app) and then tap ‘pair’ to connect and pair the device.

Thus users can better communicate to the healthcare providers of their medical details right from their smartphones. 

Samsung has also brought in new improvements to the Medication tracking feature. The new update allows users to better manage their medications through more functionalities. Users can add new medications to their prescription list by using the visual search by scanning the medicine with their phone’s camera. Additionally, users can also check their meditation progress and adherence levels with the intuitive dashboard. This feature has also been expanded to India and South Korea.

The South Korean tech company has also added a new barcode scanner to the Food tracker available in the Samsung Health app. This will make it much easier to log in food details including nutritional values, calories and more. It is unclear whether this new launch will remain a South Korean exclusive or if it will be available to other countries later in the year. The new Fold 6 comes with a couple of new improvements and features. But with these improvements also comes a price increase. The standard Fold 6 is priced at $1,900. Meanwhile, the Special Edition is priced at $2,025, marking a $124 price increase. This new Special Edition can be purchased at Samsung’s Korean website or in select stores in the country. It will be available for purchase starting this week on October 25. 

The new Z Fold is only available in one colour, Black Shadow. Some of the exciting new features in the Special Edition also include a larger display. The foldable phone by Samsung has an external display of 6.5 inches and the width measures to be 8 inches while folded. In addition to the size increase, the Z Fold’s camera also comes with a new enhancement. The camera features a 200MP primary camera to give the best and crispest picture quality.

The Tab S10 models are available for pre-orders through Samsung’s official website. The Galaxy Tab S10+ is priced at Rs 90,999 for the 256GB and 12 GB capacity. However, the 5G function in the same model costs Rs 1,04,999. Whereas the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra starts at Rs 1,08,999. The 5G version of the same model starts at Rs 1,22,999.

These tablets come in two colour variants namely, Moonstone Gray and Platinum Silver. The S10 Ultra’s display measures to be around 14.6 inches while the S10+ rounds up to be around 12.4 inches. They have an excellent Dynamic AMOLED 2X display for a crisp and vibrant viewing experience. Prabhu Raam, Vice President of Industry Research Group, CyberMedia Research has stated that this wave of luxury smartphone market in India will continue to gain more traction as the years go by.

According to a report, the shipment of such luxury smartphones continues to grow each year. The first quarter of 2024 has seen an increase in luxury smartphones by 20%. Furthermore, the second quarter witnessed a 10% year-over-year increase. It has been noted that these luxury phones have been estimated to be over 1% of the market in the first half of the year. The launch of upcoming Samsung and Apple releases is expected to elevate the rise. 

Luxury Smartphone Market: Samsung and Apple Dominance 

Samsung and Apple are the top dominators in the luxury smartphone market. Both of these companies have a dedicated customer base and provide quality high-end devices across the country as well as globally. The two tech giants have been dominating the market for several years despite their fluctuating market shares. 

Samsung holds over 73% of the market share and Apple accounts for 26% in the first quarter of the year. The second quarter of 2024 saw an increase in Apple’s market share, accounting for 39%. Samsung on the other hand decreased to 59%. The other brands in the Indian market have insignificant market shares with just around 1-2%.

Samsung has unveiled the Samsung Galaxy Quantum 5 which will be a South Korean exclusive launch. It will therefore only be available in South Korea and can only be available for purchase in the country. 

The Samsung Galaxy Quantum 5 is an improved version of the Galaxy A55. This new version of the Galaxy A55 comes with enhanced security as well as newly added AI functions and capabilities. The new launch comes as a collaboration with SK Telecom, a telecom carrier from South Korea. 

The Galaxy Quantum 5 is priced at KRW 618,200 and it comes bundled with a free silicone case from the company. Additionally, a YouTube Premium subscription of two months and a six-month free subscription of Microsoft 365 Basic is a part of the package. Users will also be given a YES24 Crema Club Standard plan.

This new Samsung release utilises a QRNG (Quantum Random Number Generator) chip called the S2Q000. This chip when combined with Samsung Knox provides the phone with strengthened security especially when used in payment and bank apps. 

The Galaxy Quantum 5 has a 6.6 Super AMOLED screen and an impressive HD+ resolution. This display quality paired with the phone’s 120Hz refresh rate results in the best viewing experience. Samsung will showcase its latest 3D monitor along with its other Odyssey models at Gamescom 2024. The event will be held in Cologne, Germany to be held from August 21 to 25.
