USB-C ports will be mandatory for small and mid-sized devices in India starting July 2025. This move means that all tablets and smartphones sold in India will have USB-C charging ports. Laptops are yet to be affected by this new regulation but the rule is expected to apply to laptops later in 2026.

This new regulation will apply to Android, iOS, Windows and Mac devices. However, it should be noted that smaller electronic devices such as earphones, smartwatches and basic feature phones will be excluded from the regulation.

Back in 2022, the Indian government announced that it was planning to implement a regulation which allowed only one type of charger to be used across all devices.

USB-C Ports and EU’s Decision to Implement the Mandate

This regulation came after the European Union’s mandate for electronic devices sold in the EU to have the same charging ports. Laptops are also expected to be hit by this mandate after a few years.

The EU mandate made Apple switch from lightning cables to USB-C ports. This switch is most notably seen in the iPhone 15 models released in 2023. India is also expected to follow in the EU’s footsteps by implementing the USB-C port regulation.

Switching to singular ports aims to decrease the amount of e-waste so people will only have to use one charger for multiple devices, thus creating sustainability in the electronic market.

The smartphone brand Nothing just launched an update for their Nothing Phone (2). The Nothing OS 2.5.5 Update comes with a lot of cool new features.

Nothing is out with a new software update for its Nothing Phone 2. It was launched with Android 13-based Nothing OS 2.0. It later received the Android 14 update and is now receiving the new Nothing OS 2.5.5 update. The new update will introduce ChatGPT with bug fixes and other features.

The company announced that Nothing Phone 2 users can now access the ChatGPT integration feature with the NothingOS 2.5.5 update via a community post. However, users would have to install the latest ChatGPT version from the Play Store on their devices to let this feature work.

ChatGPT Integration

One of the key highlights of the Nothing OS 2.5.5 update is the integration of ChatGPT. This will enable users to quickly and easily access the ChatGPT widget directly from their home screen. Users can easily copy and paste screenshots into the ChatGPT conversations. This will help improve productivity and make smartphones more efficient.

Nothing will release the Nothing OS 2.5.5 update along with the ChatGPT integration for the Nothing Phone (1) and Phone (2a) in the coming months. Moreover, Nothing plans to integrate ChatGPT into its newly launched Ear and Ear (a) earbuds.

More on Nothing OS 2.5.5

Nothing OS 2.5.5 has introduced the Ultra XDR mode to the camera app. This enhances photography capabilities to the next level. For better image quality, users may now switch between the HDR settings in the Photo and Portrait modes. The Ring Mode option in Quick Settings is introduced for streamlined sound management and a RAM Booster feature for optimized performance. New widgets for recording and monitoring battery usage are also a part of the new update.

The Nothing OS 2.5.5 update brings improvements to the system with a focus on stability, NFC functionality, and Wi-Fi connectivity, including improvement to volume settings and various bug fixes, ensuring a smoother and more reliable user experience.

Apple smartphones are considered to be the world’s best smartphone. Reports show that iPhone 14 and 15 have been the largest-selling smartphones for the year 2023. This report proves the impact the Apple iPhones have on the market.

Although being the finest smartphone out there, Apple has always struggled to keep up with the price of its product. A lot of customers have found iPhones to be pretty much expensive. With this in mind, Apple introduced the iPhone SE series on March 21st, 2016. This line of smartphones was designed with a focus on affordability. Not only was it a success but iPhone became people’s favourite.

Eventually, Apple would continue to make more iPhones and more versions of the SE series. But there was eventually a fall in the sales of the SE models. It felt like Apple offered more advanced features in the higher-priced iPhones which the SE missed out, And other brands for the same price were still giving a good deal.

Apple Plans To Launch iPhone SE 4

Apple might launch its next iPhone SE 4 by 2025. The company has been pointing out hints in their interviews lately. Many insider reports confirm that Apple is already in production of the iPhone SE 4 and might launch by 2025. A lot of leaked designs, specifications, and features have been in circulation over the internet lately. Let’s take a look at what the phone has to offer:

New Design and Bigger Display

The iPhone might have a bigger display as compared to the previous models with a display of 6.1-inch OLED screen. The phone might as well receive a notch like the iPhone 13. The phone is likely to lose its legendary touch ID features promoting the Face ID features.

Upgraded Camera and Processor

The SE currently runs on the Bionic A15 chipset, seen in the iPhone 13 as well. However, iPhone SE 4 might run on the A16 Bionic chipsets which power the iPhone 14 Pro and 15 non-pro models. The upcoming phone is said to feature a singular camera similar to its previous models. Users are that Apple might opt for a 48MP camera sensor, which will be a much-needed upgrade from the current iPhone SE 2022’s 12MP shooter.
Suggested Post: Nothing Phone (2) Has A New Update: NothingOS 2.5.5

Price and Launch Date

The SE 4 is still in its development stage and will not be available until 2025. No release date has yet been confirmed by Apple. There might be a hike in the price concerning the new chipset installed in the model, along with new additional features.

Realme is set and ready for another launch this coming summer. The company will be releasing its latest budget-friendly smartphone, the Realme 12X 5G.

Realme Set To Launch Another Smartphone

Realme is ready to launch another smartphone in India. This is going to be the third smartphone since the Realme 12 Pro launch. Before the launch, a lot of the leaked and speculated details had been confirmed by Realme.

Specifications

It is confirmed that the Realme 12X 5G will have a 5,000 mAh battery, supporting a 45W superVOOC charging. The company claims the phone could easily get charged up from 0 to 50 percent in 30 minutes. Realme 12X 5G will offer the fastest charging speed in its price segment. The device could also be used as a power bank to charge other devices.

When it comes to display, the device features a bright 120 Hz display. It has also been confirmed to include the fastest 6nm 5G chipset and is going to be the only smartphone in this price point with dual speakers.

The Realme is expected to have advanced VC cooling technology. It is expected that the device will have more features like the dynamic button and the Air Gestures such as seen in the Realme Narzo 70 Pro 5G.

Price

Considering that Realme is planning to release the Realme 12X 5G as an entry-level phone, it could be compared with its previous models. Since the Realme 11X 5G was launched with a price of 12,999, it could be said that Realme 12X 5G might as well be priced similarly.

Design

In the recent launches by Realme, it was pretty clear that Realme has been focusing on short-hand design. Unnecessary touch-up on the device’s design to make it look attractive. This was seen in Narzo 70 Pro 5G. But for Realme 12X 5G, it doesn’t seem like there’s much of a design work put in. Apart from the camera module and the metal strip in the middle of the phone, the phone carries a very minimalist yet modern look.

Carl Pei and his team at Nothing are back with another anticipated smartphone. The Nothing Phone (2a) is set to launch on March 5th in India.

Competing with The iPhone

Carl Pei has mentioned in various interviews before his interest as an Apple customer, Such that he even reviewed the iPhone 14 Pro on the Nothing official YouTube channel. Carl mentions his intentions of bringing Nothing to the scale of Apple’s. He dreams of taking his brand to a level where Nothing could be of great competition to Apple customers.

A Unique Blend of Design and Performance

It’s no shock that Carl Pei has come up with something so unique and eye-catching. The former co-founder of Oneplus is not unknown to market trends and technology. This device promises a fresh take on design, unlike the previous releases with better features in an affordable range.

Transparent Design and Iconic Glyph Interface
