The Floorr is a personal shopping engine aimed at helping luxury fashion stylists expand their businesses. The startup company accepts clients who work in luxury spaces such as stylists and personal style shoppers.

The joining process for stylists/personal shoppers and clients is slightly different. Fashion stylists can join the service by sending in their application for approval and the approval for the application usually spans around 72 hours. Clients must receive an invitation from their stylists or personal shoppers to access the app.

The Floorr and its features

Stylists and personal shoppers can view analytics and track their sales through the dashboard. They can also access ‘Styling Sessions’ which enables them to style full outfits with the products available on the app. They even upload media of items on the store. The stylists along with their clients are offered an incredible array of luxury goods due to the app’s collaborations with luxury companies, including Farfetch, Browns, Neiman Marcus and more. The company also expects to grow the amount of partnerships in the future.

The fashion app is available on both the web and iOS and it also comes in two apps: The Floorr: For Stylists and The Floorr: For Clients. The luxury fashion app plans to release the Android version around late 2024. The company does not charge joining fees for the service but takes commissions for every sale.

The Floorr app was founded in 2024 by Lupe Puerta and the company has recently released a $1.7 million pre-seed funding round. This round is being backed by investors such as Carmen Busquets, and Nigora Toktabayeva.

Boosting the EV Infrastructure

Sitharaman has showcased the government’s interest in the EV infrastructure. According to the budget 2024, the Government will be putting more interest in helping with the growth and development of electric vehicles. This is a good focus towards appreciating technology and the automobile industry. Sitharaman also emphasized how the Government is in plans for more production of electric buses for everyday travelers to commute.

It has been reported that the government could unveil an expanded third phase of the incentive scheme for electric vehicles. Setting aside Rs 10,000-12,000 crore for the third installment of the Faster Adoption & Manufacturing of Electric Vehicles (FAME) scheme.
The Finance Minister also emphasized the government’s support to crore households under the rooftop solarization scheme. This might improve the electric vehicle charging ecosystem.

Research and Development

The Finance Minister in addition to the budget 2024 said the government will establish a total of Rs 1 lakh crore with a 50-year interest-free loan to aid the growth of India’s tech-savvy youth. With low interest or zero interest rates, it will boost the private sector and hence inspire young tech individuals to participate in the field.

Right from the Budget announcement last year, the government has attempted to make hardware and electronic manufacturing in India the biggest priority for global companies.
